Printer Sharing

PRINTER SHARING

Make sure:

·         Setting of Printer Sharing is active “look at setting of File Sharing”

·         Two computers are connected

Computer 1 “installed printer”

Ø  Click Start – Devices and Printers

Ø  Right click one of printers

Ø  Click printer Properties

Ø  Click Sharing

Ø  Check list one Sharing this printer

Ø  Type Share name, ....... Share .......Printer

Ø  Click apply

Ø  Click ok

Computer 2 “without printer”

Click start – Devices and Printers “wwe still don’t see an expected printer name”

Let’s practice these steps

•       Click Network on Windows Explorer
•       Click name of computer 1
•       Double click a printer name
•       Wait,,,,,Printer drive is installing
•       Click start – Devices and Printers
•       Now, we can see an expected printer name
•       Ready to start printing.

v  Two computer must be connected

v  Form example, we have two connected computers (PC 1 AND PC 2), we want to open data from PC 1 from PC 2

v  Open Windows Explorer of PC 1

v  Click Network

v  Doubel click name of computer 1

v  Right click a shared folder

v  Click map Network Drive

v  Choose expected drive name, ......

v  Click Finish
